My spoiler-free Star Wars: The Last Jedi review is up on Trashwire
I got the chance to review Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi for my entertainment blog, Trashwire.com. TL;DR: Great visuals, great performances, not a flawless film but still damn good.

I’m back to writing movie reviews (finally!)
This year, I started my own business, which means I haven’t had much time for my beloved Trashwire. Aside from Comic Con this summer, the bulk of my days is spent creating Facebook and Twitter strategies for my clients. Not that I’m complaining, I absolutely LOVE my job!
This week, I had the chance to see two new movies, The Rum Diary, starring Johnny Depp, and In Time, starring Justin Timberlake. My reviews for both films are up on Trashwire now. Here’s a little taste:
The Rum Diary, based on the early Hunter S. Thompson novel, takes a searing look at excess and corruption in Puerto Rico in 1960. The super rich can live forever while the poor end up dying in the streets–yep, they’re dropping metaphors here–and someone’s got to shake up the entire system. Read the rest at Trashwire.com…
My good friend Brett Walker also wrote a review of In Time for Trashwire. You can check his review out at: itson.tw/sI0QCN.
My goal for 2012 is to update this blog a lot more, so hopefully I’ll have time to post more than twice a century! Until then, follow me on Twitter or like Trashwire on Facebook to get connected.
Two trashy delights on one Netflix page
I was searching Netflix earlier today for Trapped in the Closet (that’s a whole ‘nother story) when I noticed that The Expendables was listed on the same page as R.Kelly’s delightfully tacky “Hip-Hopera”. Either Netflix knows that I love fun trashy crap like this or it’s some wonderful coincidence.
Read my review of The Green Hornet on Trashwire.com
When you think of a comic book hero, the first name that pops into your head probably isn’t Seth Rogen. In fact, many things about The Green Hornet aren’t exactly conventional. The script was penned by Rogen and pal Evan Goldberg, who also wrote Superbad, and directed by Michel Gondry of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind fame. This unconventional team is exactly what makes this film feel new and different from the Iron Man explosion fests of the world. … Read entire article »
