Quick thoughts on ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’

I had the chance to review the new Martin Scorsese film Killers of the Flower Moon for Trashwire. This movie is long and the subject matter is difficult, but I was fully engrossed throughout the three-and-a-half-hour runtime.

Most surprising was that I didn’t love Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance. Something about it just didn’t click for me. Maybe it was the fake teeth, maybe the fact that everyone kept referring to him as “son” or “that boy” when we all know he’s almost 50, but there were a few times when he kind of took me out of the movie.

Lily Gladstone was the standout and she is incredible! I certainly hope she’s in the awards conversation this year.

Here are my quick thoughts on Tiktok. My full review is on Trashwire here and you can follow me on Letterboxd right here to see what I’m watching.
