The worst director of all time is at it again!

Tommy Wiseau, the “genius” behind The Room, is back with another project.

This time, he stars as Charlie in The Neighbors, a sitcom which is described on the official website as, “a sitcom consisting of relationship between a group of neighbors who live in an apartment building.”

The plot synopsis goes on to say this:

The lead character is Charlie, the manager of the building. The tenants are a diverse group of presonality of different ages and backgrounds constantly bringing their problems to Charlie and his secretary girlfiend Bebe. The character of Princess Penelope create commotion by seeing the ghost of her uncle Prince Charles. It is a fresh humorous look at human behavioe with different view points including plenty of surprises. The demographic is all inclusive.

Trashwire readers might remember Wiseau from his previous film, The Room, which we declared the Best of the Worst a few years ago.

This new project looks to be even worse! Check out the trailer online here: http://theneighborssitcom.com/neighborsone.mov.

Michael Jackson looks for Maryland home

The Washington Post reported this today:

On Eastern Shore Sometimes the unlikeliest rumors do turn out to be true. Days after the first vague news reports emerged from Maryland’s Eastern Shore of a real-estate-hunting Michael Jackson, the singer’s reps finally broke their silence to confirm in part — and deny in others — the story that has had the rural peninsula buzzing.

Jackson’s D.C.-based publicist, Raymone Bain, called us late Monday and said that yes, indeed, the self-proclaimed King of Pop really did visit the Eastern Shore last week “for about 24 hours,” and that he really did scout out some summer houses.

Of course, the year I leave Maryland is the year that Michael Jackson decides to move there!

By now, I’m sure a lot of you know I’m a big Michael Jackson fan. After all, I was born in the 1980s and that was back when he was the undisputed King of Pop.

Regardless of weather you love him or hate him, you have to admit that it’d be pretty cool to see him somewhere, to be witness to the Jackson frenzy that surrounds him, to see what his face really looks like in person.

Damn, if only I lived in Maryland again!

Teenagers

I’m a dork for this band, I know, but I was way psyched when they released their brand new video today! It’s been pushed back a ton because of the Virginia Tech shootings, but it’s finally here. This is the US version so it’s slightly more censored. The version that aired yesterday in New Zealand has a couple cool shots, but for the most part the two are the same.

Nick Swardson and me being a geek for technology

Yesterday was the Nick Swardson show at the Paramount. The guy that opened for him was a little weak, and he didn’t even know the names of Nick’s movies because he introduced him by saying, “The star of Skates of Glory… wait, that’s not right. What’s it called? Well, I just screwed that up.” To me, if you’re going to open for someone as funny and as quoted as Nick Swardson, you should have your shit together.

Nick came on and it was fucking awesome. That dude is seriously one of the funniest people around. He can make any sentence sound funny. He talked about drinking, old people, and getting a high-five from a monkey, which was sweet.

He also talked a lot about his movies and characters, which was really cool. I think it kicks ass that a guy who has as many funny lines as he does doesn’t get all diva-ish about people quoting him and stuff. He even quoted some of the stuff himself on stage. He did some Terry lines from Reno 911! and he did an entire bit on “Shit’s weak! Wizzeak!” from Grandma’s Boy. So many times, dudes who have a character or who are totally known for one or two roles get all up in arms about people remembering them from those roles that they try to avoid all reference to it like the plague. Nick rules because he embraces the fact that people know him from Grandma’s Boy and as Terry. It even said on the flyer for the show, “Nick Swardson, Terry the roller-skating prostitute from Reno911!”

Anyway, that was cool. I feel like I’ve had such a busy week. It might be kind of nice when it al sort of calms down and I can get some work done and update Trashwire. I have a couple things that I’ve been meaning to put up, but by the time I have a free minute, I’m super tired and all I want to do is go to bed.

On a side note, I think I need to get a new wireless router. Every time I try to connect to it, it gives me an error message or it connects and then drops the signal. It’s worse than bad cell phone service. I kind of want to get the Apple Airport Extreme router because I think the networked hard drive thing is cool. Plus, I’m a dork for technological advances, so I like the idea of the 802.11n standard. I’m sure there’s a cheaper brand that does the same thing though. Apple’s fuckin expensive. I have a MacBook and I love it, but aside from the computers, Apple peripherals and stuff are kind of a rip off.

Oh, and speaking of technology, I got the Wii Play game for the Wii. It’s totally fun, but way harder than the sports games. There’s a lot more using the remote like a mouse and pointing things out, so it requires more precision. I really like the game where you have to find a specific Wii Mii (the little characters you can make kind of like a really simple version of The Sims). It’s cool because you have to pick out specific people in the crowd or find matching people. There’s like three zillion levels and the highest I’ve gotten to was 56. It gets really hard as you go because they run around or they’re in the dark and you have less time to spot them. Still, an awesome game none the less and made even better by the fact that I got it used for like half price. I love the Game Stop by my house!

Anyway, that’s it for now, and possibly for a while because I have a slow week ahead of me.
