The YRF Spy Universe is my Fast Franchise. It’s over-the-top and filled with action in the exact way I like. I recently checked out Tiger 3 and recorded a bite-sized review.

Quick thoughts on tiktok here.
I reviewed The Marvels for Trashwire and did a quick review on Tiktok.
In short, the movie is fine, but that’s not going to stop people from arguing about it on the internet. I’ve already seen some pretty hilariously bad thumbnails with angry pictures of Brie Larson from the usual YouTube angry mob.
The truth is, this movie is more fun than Quantumania or Love and Thunder, but people are so over the MCU by now that it’s going to flop hard.
Here’s my bite-sized review.

I really wanted to love this movie. I’m a fan of David Fincher and Michael Fassbender is always impressive, but the main character here is just so cold and stoic that it’s hard to really get invested in the story.

I had the chance to review the new Martin Scorsese film Killers of the Flower Moon for Trashwire. This movie is long and the subject matter is difficult, but I was fully engrossed throughout the three-and-a-half-hour runtime.
Most surprising was that I didn’t love Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance. Something about it just didn’t click for me. Maybe it was the fake teeth, maybe the fact that everyone kept referring to him as “son” or “that boy” when we all know he’s almost 50, but there were a few times when he kind of took me out of the movie.
Lily Gladstone was the standout and she is incredible! I certainly hope she’s in the awards conversation this year.

There has been way too little press or marketing effort put into the new short films from Wes Anderson based on the stories of Roald Dahl. These four short films are streaming right now on Netflix and they’re all absolutely worth checking out. I made a short video about them, but I’m still trying to decide which one I like the most because I really dug all of them.
