Two smaller movies (and a series) you should check out

I reviewed two smaller movies that I liked a lot and you should give them a watch.

First up is BlackBerry, which feels smaller than AIR and Tetris in terms of production, but contains some of the best performances in one of these business biopic movies.

Next up is Polite Society, which is a very refreshing departure from blockbuster action movies. I had so much fun with this one!

I also recently watched Bupkis on Peacock and loved it.

I really liked Rana Naidu on Netflix

In a turn of events that is surprising to absolutely no one, I really liked Rana Naidu, the new Netflix series adapted from Ray Donovan. It stars Rana Daggubati (for whom my feelings can be best described with this emoji 😍) and his superstar uncle Venkatesh Daggubati in the main roles, but the entire cast is incredible. I binged the whole first season in a weekend and I’m really hoping for season 2.

A quarter-century of South Park

I wrote a recap of the season 26 premiere episode of South Park, “Cupid Ye”, for Trashwire and it dawned on me that I have been watching this show for most of my life. I’ve never missed an episode since I first started watching it back in the ’90s. Needless to say, I’m happy to see the show back for another season and I really enjoyed what Trey Parker and Matt Stone did with the episode. You can check out my recap on Trashwire here.
