About

This blog contains the thoughts and ramblings of Alexis Gentry, the creator and editor of Trashwire.com, an entertainment and pop culture website. Alexis has been called a “dynamic, talented and unique voice in pop culture” by Ben Lyons of E! and, with her strong fascination with entertainment and penchant for writing, it’s not hard to see why.

In May 2008, Alexis was named one of Denver’s “Ten Local Lady Bloggers You Should Know About” by Examiner.com. Aside from her frequent posts on Trashwire, her writing has also been published in the New York Post’s Page Six, Denver Daily News, YourHub.com by the Denver Post/Rocky Mountain News, ReelLoop.com, Associated Content and several other websites.

Aside from writing, Alexis is also a freelance social media consultant.

You can see all of Alexis’ writing on Trashwire.com or follow her on Twitter @AlexisGentry.

The blog gets its name from an Aqua Teen Hunger Force episode called “T-Shirt of the Living Dead” in which Meatwad wears an ancient t-shirt and gets supernatural powers. When Frylock and Shake try to get him to stop abusing his powers, he replies, “Don’t you talk ugly to me!”
